Buka Bricks 4th Anniversary Photography Competition

Buka Bricks photography competition

Last year, to honor the third anniversary of the blog, I organized a photography competition. After giving it some thought, I decided to make it an annual thing. Buka Bricks will be celebrating its 4th birthday on November 10th. Four years with breaks, problems, and yet so much fun! Shall we say here’s to another four?

Like last year, there will be prizes for the competition winners. Since animals are the main feature of our blog, I try to have at least one animal in the sets I gift. Last year’s City sets were pretty rich in this regard; this year, not so much. However, you can find lots of animals in Friends sets. Therefore, those will make up the prizes of our competition.

So, who can participate? What are the conditions? Let’s take a look.

Conditions:

  • You need be following Buka Bricks on Instagram.
  • The competition is open to everyone, but to be eligible to win, you need to be living in Turkey. Sorry, the shipping costs are twice the costs of the sets.
  • The competition will be running until the end of November. The evaluation begins on December 1st and the winners will be announced after it’s finished.
  • The photograph you participate with should belong to you and be shared after the competition announcement date (November 9, 2024). Entries before that will not be evaluated.
  • Images generated by artificial intelligence software will not be accepted.
  • The competition will be running on Instagram. Please use the hashtag bukabricksfotografyarismasi2024 in your post and PLEASE tag buka.bricks when you share. Tagging the account will guarantee that your photo will be seen. If we can’t see it, we can’t evaluate it. In this regard, your account needs to be public, too.
  • You can enter with as many photos as you like. However, all of them need to be tagged like described above. If you’re entering with more than one photo, they need to be shared as different posts.
  • Two awesome photographers, a_toyphotographer and jjk_brickphotography agreed to help me with the evaluation process.
  • Winners will be contacted through Instagram. If they don’t reply within three days, their prize will go to someone else.

I think I need to say this for legal purposes, too. This contest is not sponsored, authorized or endorsed by the LEGO Group, Facebook or Instagram. It just uses one as a platform, the other as a prize.

If you have any questions about the contest, feel free to ask from here or send a DM to Buka Bricks from Instagram.

There are a few articles on photography here, but unfortunately, they’re not translated yet. You’re in luck, though. There are already great blogs on toy photography in English. Here are the Instagram accounts of some of them:

While you won’t be able to win any prizes if you’re not living in Turkey, you can see this as an opportunity to practice your photography.

Good luck to everyone who wishes to participate. I’ll be looking forward to your photos!

Some girls play with Barbie dolls, while others create small worlds with LEGO minifigures and continue to do so when they grow up. You can probably guess which group I belong to :)
